The Situation

Sumillion is a values-led IT solutions provider with a strong emphasis on sustainability and digital transformation, which is underpinned by a social commitment that sees 10% of its profits donated to charity each year. As its Microsoft CSP business expanded, Sumillion encountered barriers with its legacy platform. Outdated with a difficult user interface, it lacked the control and visibility it needed to manage customers effectively and drive opportunities. 

The team had already built its own emissions dashboard using Microsoft APIs to measure carbon data across Microsoft 365 services. However, getting visibility into emissions from Azure, which are far more substantial, remained out of reach. Sumillion needed both platform and people capabilities to help drive meaningful change.

The Benefits

Adopting ArrowSphere Cloud has marked a turning point. What used to take multiple steps in Excel reports can now be done with just a few clicks on the platform. Quoting, provisioning, and license management have become more straightforward, saving hours of admin time which means the team can focus on delivering customer value. 

“We used to have to go from Excel, to quote, to another system for provisioning,” Ryan explained. “Now it’s one clean flow — from quote to basket to provision. It’s massively streamlined, and the time saved adds up fast. 

 “There was pushback from our clients initially, but once we did the demo, they were all in. Some asked to migrate early, even if it meant cutting short their existing licenses, because they were so impressed by the platform.” 

ArrowSphere Cloud has helped Ryan reclaim time and reduce pressure. “Up until now, I’ve been the only one managing licenses, and it's freed up a lot of my time. We’ve just onboarded a new team member and the platform’s been easy for them to pick up thanks to the built-in knowledge centre.”
