- Application note provides guidelines for selecting a backup battery for the DS36xx security managers. Because of the complexity of the products and the associated secure applications, several factors can influence the battery selection. The article discusses three factors that influence battery selection and presents the preferred choices of battery chemistry. It also explains some of the analysis necessary to properly select a battery for use with these security managers
