2015E002 Oct-15 Sensors To Smart Control Module The Smart Control Module (SCM) is a high level WIFI system module for the Internet of Everything (IOE). This module enables customers to add full-featured WIFI connectivity to variety of products.
It also incorporates a high performance STM32F411CEUX MCU as the application processor. It is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 RISC core operating at a frequency up to 100MHz. It features high-speed embedded memories (up to 512 Kbytes of Flash memory, 128 Kbytes of SRAM), and an extensive range of enhanced IOs and peripherals connected to two APB buses, two AHB bus and a 32-bit multi-AHB bus matrix.
SCM has already built-in the network drivers, only simple APIs are needed to implement WLAN features. The onboard powerful MCU greatly simplifies system designs and minimize design effort. It supports network stack along with SSL security, enabling feature-rich internet connectivity and reliable implementation of low-cost embedded devices.

2016E001 Mar-16 Smart Control Module Daughter Board: Digital Barometric Air Pressure Sensor The DPS310 is a miniaturized Digital Barometric Air Pressure Sensor with a high accuracy and a low current consumption. The DPS310 is both a pressure and a temperature sensor. The pressure sensor element is based on a capacitive sensing principle which guarantees a high precision during temperature changes. The small package makes the DPS310 ideal for mobile applications and wearable devices.

MS8607 It is the novel digital combination sensor of MEAS providing 3 environmental physical measurements all-in-one: pressure, humidity and temperature (PHT).
This new sensor module generation is based on leading MEMS technologies and latest benefits from Measurement Specialties proven experience and know-how in high volume manufacturing of sensor modules, which has been widely used for over a decade

TSYS01 It is a single chip, versatile, new technology temperature sensor. The TSYS01 provides factory calibrated temperature information. It includes a temperature sensing chip and a 24-bit delta-sigma-ADC. The essence of the digital 24-bit temperature value and the internal factory set calibration values lead to highly accurate temperature information accompanied by high measurement resolution.
It also can be interfaced to any microcontroller by an I2C or SPI interface. This microcontroller has been to calculate the temperature result based on the ADC values and the calibration parameters.

KMA36 It is a magnetic field sensor utilizing the anisotropic magneto resistance effect. Therefore, the sensor is sensing the magnetic field direction rather than the magnetic field strength. The sensor contains three Wheatstone bridges rotated by 120°. A rotating magnetic field (typical strength 25 kA/m in the sensor plane) will result in three sinusoidal output signals with a period of
180°, phase shifted by 60° field angle. By use of a modified atan algorithm the field angle can be calculated with high accuracy.
2016E002 Jun-16 NFC Door Lock Reader The demo is for door lock solution, which combines NXP 13.56M Hz contactless NFC reader IC PN512 with a LPC824 microcontroller, makes the design very compact. It includes 3*4 keyboard, AC relay, led and beep.

2016P003 Jun-16 USB Type-C DFP Board The TI TPS25740 USB TYPE-C DFP SIDE Demo Board is an USB TYPE-C PD controller for "Provider" side (Source DFP) application demonstration, which provide the USB TYPE-C protocol by CC pin to pairing with the "Consumer" side (Sink UFP) + Current sense control + MOSFET control for output switch + Feedback control to the SMPS.
The controller would be based on the pairing information to provide either 5V, 12V or 20V, current provide up to 5A.
Customer can just connect few wires to change their own power supply into USB TYPE-C power supply or Charger.
2016E004 Jul-16 Smart Control Module Daughter Board: 24GHz Radar The 24GHz Radar module is split into an RF and a digital part. The RF part consists of the Infineon BGT24MTR11 24GHz radar MMIC and includes microstrip patch antennas for the transmitter and receiver of the module.
The digital part consists of XMC4200, a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller from Infineon to sample and process the analog data from the RF frontend and configurate the BGT24MTR11 chip.
2016P004 Sep-16 USB TYPE-C UFP BOARD The INFINEON CCG2 USB TYPE-C UFP SIDE Demo Board is an USB TYPE-C PD controller for "Consumer" side (Sink UFP) application demonstration, which provide the USB TYPE-C protocol for pairing with the "Provider" side (Source DFP), the controller would be based on the pairing information to request a voltage, for this application output voltage from 5V to maximum output up to 20V 3A programmable.

2017E002 Jun-17 Sensor Hub Demo Based on IBM Cloud Arrow Sensor hub demo is used for collecting weather elements such as temperature, barometric pressure and then sending these data to cloud server. We can view these data anywhere by scanning an QR code with smartphones.
The Demo will tell us these data: (1) Temperature, (2) Humidity, (3) Barometric pressure, (4) Ultraviolet index, (5) PM 2.5 particulates.
2017E003 Jun-17 Smart Control Module Daughter Board: Gesture The VCNL4035 is an integrated proximity and ambient light sensor, a driver for up to 3 external IRLED into one package. It has 16-bit resolution and includes a signal processing IC. It communicates with SCM board via I2C interface.

2018W001 Feb-18 Cloud Based Door Lock Monitoring with LoRaWAN This door lock monitoring solution features Winext M100B-H LoRa Module and GW5000A LoRa Gateway to provide a complete solution for building a LoRa network. A microcontroller is used to detect the door lock status. The door lock status data is then transmitted by the M100B-H to a cloud server through the GW5000A gateway. A web-based dashboard shows the status of multiple door locks for monitoring or management.
2018P001 Feb-18 Metal Touch 16-Keypad The LDC Metal Touch 16-Keypad EVM consisted by controller board and sensors array board. Controller board includes a MCHP PIC16F1509 MCU and TI LDC1614 analog-to digital conversion.
The GUI software MetalTouch was a PC-based kit for the Metal Touch solution system development. It can be calibrating your inductive metal touch button designs. The tool will show the touching status when the metal key was pressing and you can set the parameters to EVM board to fine tune the sensitivity and the pressing force, user can quickly and easily to evaluate, diagnose, and tune the metal touch designs.

2018M001 Apr-18 72V Low Voltage Air Conditioner Compressor For EV In EV application, it used battery voltage to drive the Air-Conditioner. Mostly it will use 72V battery, so it needed a low voltage compressor. For this design we use STM M3 as the controller. It has internal Op-amp to simplify the circuit design. The board can support up to 3500W.

2019W001 Jan-19 NFC Smart Lock This reference design uses ST devices, MCU, NFC, MEMS sensor etc. Depending on the complexity of the customer’s application, STM32 M0 or M4 (pin to pin compatible) can be used for the core MCU. NFC Initiators / HF Reader ICs, including the analog front end (AFE) and a highly integrated data framing system for multi standards, are deployed. MEMS sensor is used for abnormal door hit sensing, providing alert and access blocking.

2019W002 Mar-19 Voice Recognition Voice trigger is a software component that always detects trigger words set at the beginning of voice. It continuously monitors the occurrence of one of the 10 words and notifies the system on detection.
This voice recognition module is based on Toshiba TMPM4G9F15FG, the CMOS digital monolithic silicon integrated circuit chip with high speed data processing capability. It includes voice input and voice output.
2019M002 May-19 High Voltage Air Conditioner Compressor 320V 3500W for EV In EV application, it used battery voltage to drive the Air-Conditioner. it will use 320V battery, so it needed a high voltage compressor. For this design we use SPC560 as the controller. It is automotive grade. The board can support up to 3.5KW.
2019W003 Jun-19 Telematics Box Solution The telematics solution is based on Infineon S6J342AFTA platform, offering superior processing power for data acquisition and management. The solution’s functional blocks also include vehicle motion sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope), WIFI+BT module providing WIFI hotspot, GPS detecting vehicle position monitoring and 4G module for communicating to cloud for remote monitoring and controlling. Users can read data and control vehicle via cloud by mobile devices. Besides, there is backup battery provides power while breaking off the main power suddenly.
2019W004 Jul-19 Radar Lamp Post This reference design is based on Infineon 24GHz Radar to detect vehicles whether they occupy the lay-by area. Next, there is a LED lamp with control, monitoring the power consumption, and uploading the data to cloud via LoRaWAN technology.
2019W005 Oct-19 BLE Mesh Lighting This reference design uses Silicon Labs BLE Mesh module, ON Semiconductor AC/DC and MOSFET, ISSI DC/DC and Lumileds LEDs. Silabs BGM13P is used for Bluetooth Mesh connectivity and generating PWMs to control the lighting. The 5 LEDs (Red, Green, Blue, Warm White and Cool White) are driven by DC/DC and AC/DC circuits. It provides ~9W for downlight applications.

Arrow MicroPython module is the idea computing solutions platform for the Internet of Things, e.g. only 2 commands to setup the board as iBeacon.
2020W002 Jan-20 Smart IoT Energy Measurement Solution This reference design is based on ADI mSure ADE9153A energy measurement solution to measure the energy consumption of smart IoT device. Connecting with Silicon Labs Giant Gecko MCU start kit, it shows the measuring result on the LCD display.
2020W003 Apr-20 BLE Beacon with LoRaWAN This reference design is based on STM’s BLE and ACsip’s LoRaWAN technology to implement indoor-positioning and objects tracking. BLE Beacons w/LoRaWAN is a new generation beacon that advertises standard Beacon message and to monitor Beacon’s battery life and motion detection to backhaul via LoRaWAN network.
2020P001 Jun-20 90W USB TYPE-C PD EVB This demo board is using the ON Semiconductor power factor correction (PFC) and active clamp flyback (ACF) solution together with MOSFET to provide 90W output. Infineon CCG3PA be the USB TYPE-C PD3.0 and QC3.0 solution together in one USB TYPE-C connector, the extra two USB TYPE-A connector provided 5V 2A supply per each port for the traditional TYPE-A application in the market.
2020W004 Jul-20 BLE Mesh Lighting with 24 & 60GHz Radar Sensing This reference design uses Silicon Labs BLE Mesh module, Murata/Infineon Quicksilver Wi-Fi Module, Infineon radar, Jorjin radar module, RECOM AC/DC module, TE temperature sensor and relay. The system includes a gateway (Wi-Fi + BLE mesh module) and BLE mesh nodes with radar/sensor. The gateway collects all the data from each node via the mesh network to determine the on/off stage of the lightings. At the same time, this information can upload to cloud by using the Wi-Fi and reveal on a dashboard. Furthermore, it is possible to set up the system to control the lighting nodes directly by the Radar node without involving the gateway.

2020W006 Dec-20 Single Channel LiDAR This is a Single Channel LiDAR demo board to demonstrate a high speed optical front end with LiDAR ToF ranging technology for distance measurement up to 50m and the LiDAR ToF architecture can be extended their application to both consumer and industrial field and even on the automotive area.
2020W007 Dec-20 Automotive V2X Telematics Box The Automotive V2X Telematics Box solution not only provides the functionalities related with telematics, but also C-V2X functionalities for Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure(V2I) communications in active safety systems and intelligent transport system (ITS) management. The solution is based on NXP S32K144 MCU and Quectel AG35 platform, supporting vehicle health alert, remote automatic vehicle diagnostic, emergency call, as well as providing high accuracy position and data services for AP. At the same time, Quectel AG15 supports the C-V2X data services and NXP I.MX8 AP runs ITS apps and other apps.
2021W001 Jan-21 IO-Link 8-Channel Master Hub Solution The IO-Link 8-Channel solution is designed to demonstrate Arrow’s IOLM4P 4 ports master controller powered by STM32L431 SoC. 2 pieces of IOLM4P are used to implement this 8-channel solution. An external host based on STM32F746ZG is used to manage and control these 2 pieces of master controllers. User applications runs on the STM32F7 SoC and the complex IO-Link master stacks will be handled by the Arrow IOLM4P master controller. This solution comes with demo application showing the simplicity to connect to 8 IO-Link devices via STM’s L6360 – the IO-Link communication master transceiver IC.
2021E001 Mar-21 AI Thermal Sensing This demo board is to demonstrate an AI thermal sensing technology, aimed at fever detection applications. Using state-of-the-art CMOS thermal sensors, the sensor also uses ToF (Time of Flight) distance measurement sensor to compensate for temperature value. Through an RGB camera screen, thermal and RGB video can be displayed simultaneously.
2021E002 Apr-21 Non-Contact Breathing Detection This demo board is to demonstrate a non-contact breathing detection using a low-cost RGB camera on I.MX8M Mini platform. The key component, Eulerian Motion Magnification filter, magnifies subtle breathing motion. Combining with the help of artificial intelligent (AI) technology, it provides decent performance on human breath detection that is suitable for health care applications.
2021W002 Apr-21 IO-Link 8-Channel Digital Input Hub Solution The IO-Link 8-Channel digital input hub solution consists of a dual channel transceiver L6364, an Arm Cortex-M0+ MCU STM32G071 and a high-speed digital 8-channel inputs current limiter SCLT3-8BQ7. This is a non-isolated solution, it provides power supply to the system as well as the external devices directly. User applications and complex IO-Link stacks runs on the MCU STM32G071. while L6364 acts as a physical layer when the board is connected to the IO-Link master, then master can initiate communication and exchange data with the MCU. The L6364 also provides power supply to the MCU by the internal LDO, which saves the additional circuits and BOM cost.
2021W003 Apr-21 IO-Link 8-Channel Digital Output Hub Solution The IO-Link 8-Channel digital output hub solution is made up of three blocks: IO-Link transceiver L6364, octal high-side isolated driver ISO8200 and Arm Cortex-M0+ MCU STM32G071. It provides an affordable and easy-to-use solution for the development of 8-channel digital output modules. This is an isolated solution thanks to the embedded galvanic smart driver ISO8200. User applications and complex IO-Link stacks runs on the MCU STM32G071. While L6364 acts as a physical layer when the board is connected to the IO-Link master, then master can initiate communication and exchange data with the MCU. The L6364 also provides power supply to the MCU by the internal LDO, which saves the additional circuits and BOM cost.

2021W006 Sep-21 Long Range Low Power Wireless Video Transmission Solution This demo solution built on STMicroelectronics STM32H7 series SoC and STM32WB55 multiprotocol wireless to form a sender and receiver unit. For sender side, video data is captured by ON Semiconductor’s MT9M114 720p CMOS image sensor SoC while voice data is captured by STMicroelectronics - MP34DT05MEMS PDM microphone. To lower the system cost and power consumption, latest BLE (stack version 5.2) technology was chosen so that high data rate transmission (max. 2Mbps) is supported. To optimize this bandwidth, video data is compressed by STM32H7’s build-in hardware JPEG encoder and then combined voice data to transmit to receiver side via STM32WB55 BLE. For receiver side, video data received via STM32WB55 BLE is decompressed by STM32H7’s hardware JPEG decoder and display to LCD/HDMI output. To increase the transmission range, an external RF Power Amplifier is used to achieve transmission range of 300 meter.
2021W007 Sep-21 60GHz Radar Occupancy Sensor and Signage with BLE Mesh and LoRaWAN This reference design uses Jorjin radar modules, based on Infineon 60GHz radar, for occupancy sensing. Multiple radar devices form a BLE Mesh network with Silicon Labs BLE Mesh modules. A gateway collects the status of the occupancy sensors and light up the occupancy signage. Meanwhile, the occupancy status is uploaded to the cloud via LoRaWAN network and shown on a web-based dashboard for remote monitoring.
2021W008 Sep-21 Arrow ADI IO-Link Master Solution This is a 4-ports IO-Link master evaluation solution built on Arrow’s ARW-IOLM4P-STM32L4 4-port IO-Link master controller evaluation board and ADI’s LTC2874 Quad IO-Link Master Hot Swap Controller and PHY evaluation board. Two evaluation boards are interconnected to build a complete solution to demonstrate a 4-port IO-Link master hub. The master controller unit bundled with a USB-SPI controller so that a TEConcept’s control tool software can be executed on a PC and control the master controller unit via USB interface. Together with ADI’s PHY, this master hub can allow hot swap plug in any IO-Link compatible sensors and actuators. Arrow’s ARW-IOLM4P-STM32L4 4-port IO-Link master controller contains a full featured IO-Link master stack that handles the IO-Link communication with up to four independent IO-Link ports. The controller function is based on a well-defined simple telegram structure and uses the SPI-slave interface of the IOLM4P.
2021E003 Oct-21 AI Thermal Sensing II This demo board is to demonstrate an AI thermal sensing technology. Using state-of-the-art CMOS thermal imaging sensors and AI De-noise technology, this solution provides an 80x62 pixels thermal temperature readout with the least of noise. With the aid of the powerful STM32H747 processor, an additional AI algorithm has been used to obtain a hot zone contour temperature from the thermal image. This solution also integrates a 8x8 zones ToF (Time of Flight) sensor for distance to temperature compensation in order to further improve temperature readout accuracy. By adding a RGB camera, another AI face detection algorithm has been added to enhance the applications.
2021W005 Nov-21 IO-LINK Actuator Tower Light This is an IO-LINK Actuator Tower Light to demonstrate how to trigger and configure the actuator tower light through the standard IO-LINK interface. The individual LEDs can be switched individually via digital inputs parameters set by IO-LINK master. In the reference design, the L6364Q IO-LINK PHY works as a device to enable direct access to process and diagnose data, then MCU controls four channels’ status of the low side power switch IPS4260L via IOs.

This reference design is composed of Infineon powerful automotive grade Traveo II MCU CYT2B97, AFE TLE9012D and transceiver TLE9015D. TLE9012DQU fulfills four main functions: cell voltage measurement, temperature measurement, cell balancing, and isolated communication; TLE9015D works as a transceiver to connect TLE9015D and MCU main battery controller. Besides, the solution also integrates pressure detection, RTC and system voltage and current sensing functions.
2022W002 Sep-22 AIOT PIR Sensor Solution AIoT PIR sensor consists of muRata PIR sensor, ST Nano power Op-amp and ST 2.4GHz Wireless MCU. Which is passively detecting human inferred spectrum movement, then amplifies the analog signal with gain 60~90dB to become digital level output signal to wireless MCU. Typical power consumption is 5uA@3.3V in this detecting circuit; For ST 2.4GHz Wireless MCU, it can operate in sleep mode with ZigBee protocol, which typical power consumption is 3uA@3.3V . As example in the picture, the ZigBee SED (Sleepy End Device) client total power is 8.3uA@3.3V in detecting mode.
2022W004 Nov-22 Point-2-Point Wireless Video Transmission Solution This point-2-point video transmission demo solution is built on the OpenMV Cam and STM32H7 EVB. OpenMV Cam is a small, low power, microcontroller board allowing you to easily implement applications using machine vision in the real-world. It is a highly integrated development board that includes both STMicro MCU and onsemi image sensor. And Arrow STM32WB55 multiprotocol wireless module is used for wireless transmitting and receiving audio and video data. In camera side, video data is captured by ON Semiconductor’s MT9M114 720p CMOS image sensor SoC which will convert output image in VGA YUV422 format to STM32H7 MCU. 2024M002 Dec-24 Smart Fan Demo The demonstration is setup by a far infrared thermal sensor to detect and indicate a heat source with LED board. When the heat source locates in the middle of the detection zone, the motor starts. And the temperature higher, the speed of motor will be higher. It throght MCU MXCA153 to receive data of temperature and let PWM to control motor that speed up the fan when temperature over the threshold.
2024E005 Dec-24 Machine Inspection Demo The use case described in this application note uses a conveyor belt where a camera scans the products on the belt, and a robot arm selects the correct product. The i.MX 93 continuously records the display using an USB camera and processes the captured frames to determine if the passing things are the target or not. This target recognition is done using a TensorFlow Lite neural network running on the Neural Processing Unit of i.MX 93. Once the coordinates of the target are determined, the commands are sent from the i.MX 93 into the TSN network composed of an i.MX RT 1180 TSN switch and i.MX RT 1170 TSN endpoint. Upon reception of the commands by the i.MX RT 1170, it controls the robot arm through the UART interface to touch the target.
