Strengthening capabilities for public sector customers

DIR-CPO-5688 runs from May 14, 2025, through May 14, 2027, with one optional two-year renewal and two optional one-year renewals, allowing for continuity through May 2031.

These newly added vendors enhance DIR-CPO-5688 across several critical capability areas:

• Advanced cybersecurity. Expands capabilities in threat detection, endpoint protection, and identity and access management
• Infrastructure, storage and data protection. Enhances backup, storage and network modernization capabilities
• Infrastructure and open source. Supports modern platform adoption, open-source technologies, and managed hosting
• Enterprise applications and workflow automation. Strengthens ERP systems, compliance and workflow automation

Why DIR-CPO-5688 matters

The DIR program represents one of the most significant procurement pathways for public sector IT in Texas. In FY2024, DIR facilitated more than $3.4 billion in technology purchases. Texas state agencies are required to procure IT products and services through DIR contracts, and the contract supports a broad range of eligible entities, including state agencies, higher education, K-12 schools, local governments and interstate participants.
