Fast charging with USB-C PPS (Programmable Power Supplies)
The latest 5G phones can be charged with 45W chargers, ~4x more power than a few years ago. But, smartphones do not offer much real estate for dissipating 45W. Efficiency is more important than ever, which is why USB-C PD 3.0 includes PPS, or Programmable Power Supplies, the world’s most efficient charging protocol.
The FUSB3307 is a State Machine based power source controller for Programmable Power Supplies (PPS) with no firmware required.
