The Infineon AURIX™ multicore family continues on the success of the TriCore™ family and offers transportation and energy solutions that combine easy-to-use functional safety support, increased performance, and future-proven security solutions. Created with 40 nm embedded flash technology that is designed for strong reliability in harsh automotive environments, the Aurix TC3xx family also offers software to help manufacturers meet SIL/ASIL safety standards and AUTO SAR libraries. Infineon’s PRO-SIL™ trademark signifies the products that contain Safety Integrity Level (SIL) supporting features. These features assist in the overall system design for SIL or ASIL safety systems with high efficiency. 

The Aurix TC2xx family is the current family of microcontrollers that is based on up to three independent 32-bit TriCore™ CPUs. This Aurix platform is able to control powertrain and safety applications with one single MCU platform, requiring less effort to achieve the ASIL-D standard.
