Toshiba’s new 80V 3-Phase Gate Drivers, TB67Z8xxx, are part of the critical motor control system working with suitable MCU and MOSFETs to drive high performance brushless motors. The TB67Z8xxx can operate between 8 and 75V that are suitable typically for 12 to 48V systems. These gate drivers have strong current driving capabilities of 1A source and 2A sink and can drive ultra-low Rdson MOSFETs, such as TPH1R204PB. With MCU such as TMPM4L4FYAUG, this motor control system can handle high power, high torque, or high speed applications such as professional power tools, portable vacuums, and pumps as well as many other challenging applications. There are 16 levels of slew rate control to allow for fast edging or slower edging to achieve better EMI control. Users can choose various options from 3 sense amplifiers, hardware or SPI Interfaces, 3.3V or 5.0V LDO output in either a QFN32 5x5 or QFN40 6x6 package. The TB67Z8xx series also allows 4 different types of PWM controls that drive not only brushless motors but also brushed motors, High Side/Low Side switches, and solenoids.

This series is pin-to-pin compatible to other 3-phase gate drivers in the industry. Part numbers in this series with 3.3V voltage regulator include TB67Z830HTG, TB67Z830SFTG, TB67Z833HTG, and TB67Z833SFTG. Part numbers for this series with 5.0V voltage regulator include TB67Z850HFTG, TB67Z850SFTG, TB67Z853HFTG and TB67853SFTG.
