Use this usb power distribution switch TPS2060CDGN USB powered Ethernet switch from Texas Instruments to control which one of your devices draws power. It only needs a voltage of at least 4.5 V while not exceeding 5.5 V to effectively power your circuit. Its current limit is 2.29 A.
