Simple, Compact, and Efficient Isolated Power with Low IQ No-Opto Flyback ICs

The flyback converter is typically the first choice for engineers looking for isolated power supplies below 50W.

These isolated power supplies generally require opto-isolators or extra transformer windings to regulate the output voltage. As a result, these isolated power supply solutions are generally complicated, bulky, and inefficient.

Analog Devices' low IQ no-opto flyback ICs dramatically simplify isolated power supply design yet still provide compact and efficient isolated power supply solutions. Watch this video to learn about the LT8301 and LT8302 – operating from an input voltage range of 2.7V to 42V, both deliver isolated output power up to 6W and 18W with better than 5% output voltage regulation.
