Silicon Labs Si875x: A Better Alternative to Optocoupler-based SSRs and Relays

Let’s examine the pros and cons of solid-state relays and electro-mechanical relays – and introduce Silicon Labs Si875x as an alternative. There are many applications that require switching AC or DC loads with an isolated input: motor control, valve control, HVAC relay, battery monitoring, and A/C mainline switching are just a few. These applications are typically served with electro-mechanical or solid-state relays, although customers of these relays are typically faced with limitations and compromises – these issues can now be solved with Silicon Labs Si875x.
