AP6450xQ Synchronous Buck Converters for Automotive Applications

Diodes Incorporated’s AP6450xQ series introduces high efficiency, wide input voltages, and programmable and synchronizable fSW (AP64500Q/AP64502Q) frequencies for automotive applications such as infotainment power supplies and forward lighting POLs. The series includes parts (AP64500Q/AP64502Q) with special gate drive/bootstrap designs that enable operation in LDO mode, with near 100% duty cycle. Additionally, both the AP64501Q and AP64502Q have programmable soft-start that reduces inrush currents, while the AP64500Q and AP64501Q have external compensation to optimize loop responses.
