Schools in Kent and surrounding counties were looking to digitalise their data, meaning that tens of thousands of users and data needed to be migrated into the cloud.
The challenge was to migrate 200 schools from legacy on-premise multi-tenant exchanges and SharePoint to a fully-managed Microsoft 365 cloud model.

With many customers in education, Cantium worked with the Department for Education from a funding perspective to enable maintained schools and academy trusts to benefit from optimal value for their cloud migrations.
AvePoint’s Fly Migration solution was used to support the migration from the schools’ previous on-premise servers into SharePoint in a structured manner.
With their data migrated into the cloud, the schools are able to reap the full benefits of the Microsoft 365 suite. Cantium migrated 245 schools from on premise to M365 using AvePoint Fly.
