The STMicroelectronicsIPS161H is a high-side power switching device designed to safety integrity level (SIL) and IEC 61131-2 standards. Capable of driving resistive, inductive or capacitive loads, the IPS161H also contains thermal, short-circuit and ground disconnection protection.

The robust IPS161H not only sports under voltage lock-out over an 8 to 60 V operating range, its 36 mm2-footprinted chip offers a programmable cutoff delay time using an external capacitor and diagnostic signalization for various shutdowns. This means both personalization for your solution and the ability to analyze any instance where the ISP161H was necessary, allowing you to take preventative measures to improve your system in the future. It is ideal for programmable logic control and useful in industrial controls.
