KYOCERA AVX's new PrizmaCap capacitors, or SCP 2.5V regular and High Temperature (HT) series, are prismatic EDLC’s (SuperCapacitors). The PrizmaCapTM products family provides the lowest profile & highest operating temperature available currently within KYOCERA AVX SuperCapacitors offerings. Used by themselves or as a secondary in conjunction with battery, they provide extended backup time, longer battery life, and provide instantaneous power pulses as needed by different design applicaitons. They are best used in applications requiring pulse power handling, energy storage, energy harvesting, energy/power holdup, and battery assist.
