Arrow signs Dell APEX Flex on Demand distribution agreement in the UK

New agreement delivers scalable, flexible, cloud-based IT consumption for enterprises.

Arrow Electronics today announced it has signed an agreement with Dell Technologies in the UK to deliver its Dell APEX Flex on Demand cloud-based IT consumption model via the channel. UK customers will be able to customise hardware and software configurations and set automated committed and buffer capacities for a scalable, accurate and cost effective cloud computing.

Dell APEX Flex on Demand means that 'committed' computing capacity can be allocated upfront as a baseline usage, measured with automated tools, and can provide a single billing rate that helps accurately predict future costs. 'Buffer' capacity may be called upon in the future if required.

Flex on Demand gives additional piece of mind by capping total monthly billing at 85 percent usage of the total installed capacity (committed plus buffer), and where usage consistently consumes most of the installed capacity, it’s simple to increase the baseline commitment for the long term, adjusting billing against usage.

Flex on Demand is available with select Storage, Server, Converged and Hyperconverged Infrastructure, Data Protection and Services.
