Arm® Cortex®-M55-based MCU, with ST Neural-ART Accelerator, H264 encoder, Neo-Chrom 2.5D GPU, 4.2 Mbyte-contiguous SRAM
The STM32N6 series is the first general-purpose MCU from STMicroelectronics that uses the groundbreaking Neural-ART Accelerator™ architecture. Developed in-house at ST, this technology accelerates neural networks for real-time decision making and edge AI application efficiency.
The STM32N6 is based on an Arm® Cortex®-M55 core running at 800MHz (1280 DMIPS / 3360 CoreMark scores) with 4.2MB of embedded RAM and a dedicated image processor (ISP) pipeline (parallel and MIPI CSI-2 camera I/Fs) that works seamlessly with the 600 GOPS Neural-ART Accelerator™ for computer vision applications such as object recognition and people tracking. Additionally, the N6 includes advanced multimedia features, including a NeoChrom™ 2.5D GPU, H.264 Encoder (720p/1080p @ 30 fps), and JPEG hardware acceleration for high-quality motion video playback.
The N6’s security features include Arm TrustZone™ code isolation for the Cortex-M55 core and Neural-ART Accelerator™, on-the-fly encryption on all interfaces, and compliance with the latest security regulation standards (Target SESIP level 3 and PSA level 3).
STM32N6 MCUs are ideally suited for drones and UAVs, smart industry, smart home, smart farming, personal healthcare, automotive, smart buildings, robots, personal electronics, and other in-demand AI applications.
