Description
- DS41448A, AAAA LCD Clock Demo demonstrates how a PIC microcontroller can run from a single AAAA 1.5V battery. An MCP1624 boost controller is used, which is capable of starting with an input voltage as low as 0.65V to boost a single AAAA battery up to 3.3 volts. Also included are capacitive sense buttons for configuring the clock, an MCP9701A analog temperature sensor, a custom LCD and the ability to measure the battery voltage. The design also has the option for an external buzzer and auto shut-down by means of additional components, but these are not part of the standard assembly
