Using a current trigger will turn this triac BTA12-800CWRG thyristor manufactured from STMicroelectronics on and applying a forward-biased voltage to it will keep it on. This device has a surge current rating of 126 A. In order to ensure parts aren't damaged by bulk packaging, this product comes in tube packaging to add a little more protection by storing the loose parts in an outer tube. Its repetitive peak forward blocking voltage is 800 V, while its repetitive peak reverse voltage is 800 V. This SCR thyristor has a minimum operating temperature of -40 °C and a maximum of 125 °C.
