ADL9005: Wideband, Low Noise Amplifier, Single Positive Supply, 0.01 GHz to 26.5 GHz
ADL9005 is a wideband LNA that operates from 0.01 GHz to 26.5 GHz and requires only 80 mA from a 5 V supply voltage.
The PSAT of up to 16 dBm enables the LNA to function as a local oscillator (LO) driver for a balanced, I/Q, or image rejection mixer. ADL9005 also features inputs and outputs that are internally matched to 50 Ω, making it ideal for SMT-based, high capacity microwave radio applications.
The part is self-biased and housed in a 4 mm × 4 mm package, saving significant board space.
Key Features and Benefits
● 17.5 dB typical gain with a positive gain scope across frequencies, reducing the need for gain compensation.
● 26 dBm typical output IP3 and 13.5 dBm of P1dB with very high linearity minimizes the distortion of the amplified signal.
● The amplifier is self-biased with a single positive supply, eliminating the need and board space required for complex bias sequencing circuitry.
Applications
● Instrumentation: spectrum analyzer, network analyzer
● Aerospace and defense: electronic warfare
● Communications: 5G communications
