The L78L05ABUTR is the ideal regulator for the job in applications where PCB retail estate is a premium. Capable of supplying currents up to 100mA, the L78L05ABUTR is a minute regulator housed in a SOT-89 package. It is capable of handling a wide temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, with a typical drop out voltage of 1.7V at 40mA, and provides a load regulation of 60mV. With a maximum input voltage of 30V, the L7805ABUTR is the regulator of choice for most commercial designs that requires a regulator with a small footprint. It is also one that can capably handle harsh temperature environments.
