The Nichicon SLB series of small Li-Ion rechargeable batteries have been adopted for use on the stylus pens (S Pens) of the Galaxy Note10 and Note10+, as well as the Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra by Samsung Electronics to realize the advanced functionality on the S Pen. The remote operation function of the S Pen used with the Galaxy Note10 and Note10+, as well as the Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra has been upgraded substantially compared with conventional models. S Pen motions are recognized using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, allowing the smartphones to be controlled remotely.
 
With the Nichicon small Li-Ion batteries, the Samsun S pens extend their operating time by up to 10 hours. In addition, these rechargeable batteries offer a higher input and output than general Li-Ion rechargeable batteries and can charge and discharge up to 10 times the rated current. This greatly decreases the risk for fire or smoke and contributes to superior stability overall.
