Track Temperature and Humidity Easily with Cloud Technology

Published By

Temperature and humidity control is of utmost importance in the operation of factories and is critical for product quality. With the application of monitoring technology, data on temperature and humidity can be tracked in real-time with instant response without human interaction. This arrangement helps to mitigate the high pressure on the operator and can handle different situations instantly to avoid or reduce possible loss.

Data on temperature and humidity in the cloud make access easy and safe

The Saveris 2 thermometer/barometer from Testo integrates Wi-Fi technology and cloud services and can track data on temperature and humidity in real-time by wireless transmission. The data can also be transmitted to the cloud for storage so that the users can access related data records via the Internet with the use of a PC, smart phone, or tablet. If the data show abnormal temperatures and/or humidity, the warning system will be triggered. Related personnel can also be alerted by an e-mail or SMS message generated automatically from the system and respond to the situation to avoid possible accident and loss. This system is strongly recommended to industries with heavy reliance on temperature and humidity control in production, such as pharmaceuticals, computer server rooms, museums, and factory management.

In product development, Longsys has successfully launched the GT202 IoT module with embedded Qualcomm QCA4002 single chip that can support 802.11b/g/n wireless communication standard. This helps to optimize the performance of the low output embedded application and can perform transmission and receiving in single streaming. With the built-in network processor, it can support services based on TCP/IP under IPv4/IPv6. These services can also be linked to an external main processor with SPI or UART.

The realization of IoT and an innovative mindset of conventional products

Many conventional devices can only exist individually, can perform only the professed duties, and are difficult to link to other equipment. If these devices can be linked to the Wi-Fi module and cloud service, they will become an integral part of IoT and yield synergy of different forms. An example is the integration between the conventional thermometer/barometer with IoT, which allows for easy access and reading of data and give out warning signals on abnormality automatically. This function helps to bolster the added value of the product and is the realization of IoT that entails promising business opportunity.
