Passive Infrared Motion Sensing from the Panasonic EKM Series

Published By

The newest in passive infrared (PIR) sensors on Arrow.com are the EKM Series of sensors from Panasonic. Designed for motion sensing systems in IoT applications, the EKM Series have rectangular Hammerhead Saturn lenses, with a wide 122o horizontal dual detection zone. The wide range PIR sensors can detect changes in infrared emissions up to 5 m away, and feature digital output.

The EKM Series features two distinct lines, the EKMB and EKMC. EKMB is ideal for battery-driven systems, thanks to their low current consumption. The EKMB line offers 1, 2 and 6 µA consumptions. To best suit your system, the line also has the choice of white, black and pearl white finishes for an adaptable, stylish feel. The 6 µA option of current consumption also contains an integrated differential input circuit for overall noise reduction.
