Additionally, Pulse offers Rogowski coils in round, rectangular, oval, and FLEXROGO designs, with sensitivity up to 450mV/KA. Custom power magnetic components are also available, offering small form factors with high power density, and Pulse can modify existing catalog components to create full customs for unique solutions.

For high-frequency switched-mode power supply applications, Pulse provides a complete range of magnetic components, including catalog power magnetic components such as power inductors, power transformers, isolation transformers, current-sensing magnetic components, and common mode chokes with through-hole, surface-mount, and pin-in-paste terminations. In addition to its extensive catalog product line, Pulse designs and manufactures custom and application-specific magnetic solutions for key OEMs, EMS providers, and distribution partners.

Pulse’s power product portfolio is extensive. For example, power bead inductors support low inductance (20nH to 1µH) and high currents (>140Apk), making them ideal for high-current multiphase applications powering processors, memory modules, high-current ASICs, and FPGAs. These inductors utilize a 1T or 2T structure for ultra-low DCR (<0.120µOhms), with ferrite cores that minimize AC losses and maximize energy storage density. More than 30 platform sizes are available, ranging from 4x4mm to 13x13mm.

Pulse’s dual-winding TLVR inductors are designed for multiphase and Vcore regulators with fast transient response requirements. The dual-winding design allows for rapid load response, with 1000V isolation between windings. These inductors feature inductance values ranging from 70nH to 200nH, currents up to 145Apk, and nine platform sizes from 10x5x6mm to 12x6x12mm, with matching compensation inductor options.

Pulse’s round wire coil (RWC) inductors come in six platform sizes and use low-loss ferrite core materials to minimize AC losses and eliminate thermal aging, achieving the highest efficiency among all SMT inductors. These platforms range from 7.6x7.4x6.4mm to 26x26x15mm and are widely used in communication, computing, and industrial applications.

Pulse’s composite core inductors come in various platform sizes and offer fully shielded, high-energy storage, and soft saturation solutions for applications up to 120Apk. This design achieves the highest energy density among SMT inductors while minimizing acoustic noise, making them suitable for data communication, computing, industrial, and automotive applications.

The round wire coil inductors feature ferrite cores for low AC losses and are designed to minimize PCB footprint. They support inductance values from 300nH to 100µH and currents over 80Apk, with six platform sizes ranging from 7x7x6mm to 26x26x15mm.

Additionally, Pulse has introduced alternative inductor constructions. Planar inductors, typically constructed with ferrite cores and copper plate windings, offer low profile and high current capability (>30Arms). Toroidal inductors feature round wire winding on a distributed-gap powder material core, providing soft saturation and excellent shielding. Flat coil inductors use flat wire coil for the winding to achieve low DCR and high-current capabilities in low profile designs. Wire-wound inductors, a general-purpose solution, use round magnet wire windings with gapped ferrite cores.
