Surge Stopper 32-Pin DFN EP Tube

Analog Devices’ LTC4381: Low Quiescent Current Surge Stopper with 9mΩ MOSFET

The LTC4381 surge stopper protects loads from high voltage and high current transients, allowing it to sustain continuous operation during such surge events.

It replaces traditional shunt circuits composed of bulky inductors, capacitors, transient voltage suppressors (TVS), and fuses.

Key Features and Benefits

  • •  Internal 100 V/9 mΩ N-channel MOSFET is production tested and guaranteed for stresses during high voltage transients
  • •  Low 6 µA operating quiescent current maximizes and prolongs battery run and standby times
  • •  MOSFET stress accelerated fault timeout reduces time spent in fault condition, making better use of safe operating area

Applications

  • •  General purpose: surge protection, hot swap, efuse
  • •  Automotive: 12 V/24 V/48 V system protection, load dump protection
  • •  Industrial automation
  • •  Consumer

Evaluation Board

The LTC4381 can be evaluated with the DC2713A-B and DC2713A-D.
