Microchip TechnologyATA6581-GTQW1-VAOController Area Network - CAN Transceivers
CAN 5Mbps Sleep/Standby 5V/9V/12V/15V/18V/24V 18-Pin VDFN EP T/R Automotive AEC-Q100
The ATA6581 is a CAN-LIN System Basis Chip (SBC). One CAN transceiver, a 5V, 150mA low drop voltage regulator, a 5V/3.3V 30mA sensor supply, 1 LIN- transceiver. It is part of the ATA658x family which offers various combinations of LDOs, CAN Transceiver with or without partial networking and LIN Transceiver(s) in one package. The high speed (up to 5Mbit/s) ISO 11898-2: 2016 compliant CAN transceiver is designed for applications in the automotive industry, providing differential transmit and receive capability to (a microcontroller with) a CAN protocol controller. It offers improved electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) performance, very low power consumption, as well as features such as:
- • Ideal passive behavior to the CAN bus when the supply voltage is off
- • Direct interfacing to microcontrollers with supply voltages 5V
- • Advanced low-power management with local and remote wake-up support, always available
- • Protection and diagnostic functions including bus line short-circuit detection and battery connection detection
The LIN transceiver is designed according to the LIN specification 2.2A, ISO 17987-4 and SAEJ2602-2, and is able to handle the low-speed data communication in vehicles (for example, in convenience electronics). Improved slope control at the LIN driver ensures secure data communication up to 20 Kbaud.
All devices from this family offer low-power modes in order to minimize current consumption in applications that are continuously connected to the battery. A wake-up from low-power mode is possible via a messages on the buses and via high-voltage wake-up pins.
