Evaluation Kit For Connecting The MPLAB ICD 2 Module To A Target Board

  • Dev Kit Description

The MPLAB® ICD Header (Part Number AC162051) provides a means of connecting the MPLAB ICD 2 Module to a target board that does not incorporate a 6-wire modular connection into its design. The board is designed for 40-pin devices supported by MPLAB ICD 2. Please see the README.ID2 in the MPLAB IDE software for specific details on devices supported.
The MPLAB ICD 2 Module connects to the MPLAB ICD Header via a 9-inch modular cable. For in-circuit debugging, insert a 40-pin PICmicro® into the MPLAB ICD Header, then insert the header board into a 28-pin or 40-pin DIP socket on the target application. The 28-pin connector on the underside allows debugging of a 28-pin device using a 40-pin device as the master (U2). Pin connections translate a 40-pin device to the 28-pin device.
