What is 2GIT and what type of contract is it? Second Generation Information Technology, or 2GIT, Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) is a strategic partnership between GSA and U.S. Air Force that replaced the Network-Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) contract at the end of 2019. The scope of the 2GIT BPA is to provide a total IT one-stop-shop to meet the needs of the Air Force, Department of War (DoW) agencies and other federal, state, local, regional and tribal governments. The period of performance for the 2GIT BPA is March 31, 2021 to March 30, 2026.

The RFI

During August 2025, the RFI for this next period of performance was released via sam.gov. The RFI includes original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of commercial off-the-shelf hardware, software and ancillary services. Those specific areas mentioned, are under the following Special Item Numbers (SINs):

• 33411 - Purchasing of New Electronic Equipment
• 811212 - Hardware Maintenance
• 511210 - Software Licenses
• 54151 - Software Maintenance Services.
• Order Level Materials (OLM)
• Ancillary SINs (ANC)

The RFI was built on initial market research for a new BPA for 2GIT that will provide secure data center, end user, network and radio equipment that will be accessible across government, and with an increased priority for Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM).
