The UCAM-III is the latest generation (updated from UCAM-II) serial camera module from 4D Systems designed for embedded imaging systems. It is backward-compatible and interchangeable with the UCAM-II, making it easy to upgrade existing systems to benefit from its increased RAM, new commands, and contrast and brightness controls. New users and systems, too, will love its serial interface that is suitable for direct connection to a microcontroller, as well as its ability to output images in both RAW and JPEG formats. The UCAM-III ships with a 56-degree lens and you can expand its functionality with optional 76-degree and 116-degree lenses (purchased separately).
