L78M05CDT-TR

The L78M05CDT-TR is a 5V regulator housed in a miniature DPAK package and capable of supplying up to 500mA without the use of a heatsink. With a typical voltage drop out of 2V at 350mA of current, the precision regulator is guaranteed to operate at the full extended temperature range of up to 150°C. With multiple protection systems built into the L78M05CD-T (thermal, short circuit, and safe area) you can be sure that reliability is something the 78M05CDT-TR has in mind. Worth noting is that while this is a fixed regulator, external components can be used to turn the L78M05CDT-TR into a variable regulator as well as performing power modulation.
