GrayhillThe 96BB2-056-F is a 16-key keypad that includes numbers 0 to 9, letters A to D, a star, and a hash key. The keypad uses a rubber membrane to form a contact between two PCB traces and provides a tactile feel when pressed. Each key on the keypad provides up to 1 million mechanical cycles, and the use of a matrix layout allows the keypad to work with most microcontrollers without the need for specialized hardware. The connector used on the keypad uses terminal pins and has a maximum current rating of 5 mA, a maximum voltage rating of 12 V, and a resistance of less than 0.3 Ω when pressed.
