Adafruit Industries is an electronic tutorial and learning company with a strong presence in prototyping products from development boards, to wearables, and everything in between. A strong advocate for woman in tech, Limor "Ladyada" Fried founded the company in 2005 and continues to play an involved role in product selection and testing. With a product emphasis of projects and kits, Adafruit customers are introduced to basics in science, technology, engineering, and math. Adafruit continues to propel the maker movement forward with the thought that whatever makers are dong for fun now, is what everybody is going to be doing in 10 to 15 years.
