PWM and Resonant Controllers
Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Controllers are devices, which encodes data onto the duty cycle of a periodic signal. This type of encoded data is very commonly used to control the amount of power applied to a load in a power electronics system. Current mode PWM controllers use this method to deliver current to a load in applications where the current must be carefully monitored and controlled, such as motor controllers, battery chargers, and power converters.
