ADuM6423/24, ADuM6420A/21A/22A/21AW: Quad-Channel Isolator Families with Integrated DC-to-DC Converter

Quad-channel digital isolator family with isoPower®, integrated, isolated DC-to-DC converter based on iCoupler® technology that meets CISPR 32/EN 55032 Class B limits at a full load on a 2-layer printed circuit board (PCB) with ferrites.

The iCoupler chip scale transformer technology results in a small form factor, total isolation solution that provides four independent isolation channels.
●  ADuM6423: 1:3 directionality
●  ADuM6421A: 3:1 directionality
●  ADuM6424: 0:4 directionality
●  ADuM6422A: 2:2 directionality
●  ADuM6420A: 4:0 directionality
●  ADuM6421AW: automotive with 3:1 directionality

Key Features and Benefits

●  Class B radiated emissions on a 2-layer PCB board eliminate the need of costly additional EMI mitigation techniques and simplifies the certification process
●  Four high speed data channels with high common-mode transient immunity to maintain signal integrity in the harshest of environments with architecture designed for high 100 kV/µs CMTI and high immunity to electrical noise and magnetic interference
●  Wide logic side input voltage range and high temperature operation of 125°C, capable of operating as low as 1.7 V and allowing direct connection to low power processors and FPGAs in high temp applications such as automotive and industrial

Applications

●  Automotive (ADuM6421AW): Hybrid EV, e-Mobility, Electrification,AEC-Q100 certified, Battery Monitoring, Inverters, , efficiency, EMI, trusted safety, data integrity
●  Industrial automation: PLC, DCS, analog input cards, agency certified, efficiency, EMI, trusted safety, data integrity
●  General purpose: broad market part supports SPI interface, isolated sensor interfaces, power supply start-up bias and gate drives and RS-232 transceivers
●  Instrumentation: precision measurement, Radiated Emissions Class B, reinforced 5 kV isolation, low noise, instrumentation accuracy
●  Healthcare: digital health, VSM, clinical vital signs monitoring, clinical tethered wearables, respiratory support, low radiated emissions, EMI, data integrity, safety critical, reinforced isolation, protection

Evaluation Board

The ADuM6423/24 and ADuM6420A/21A/22A/21AW families can be evaluated with the EVAL-ADUM6421ARNZ.
