The RASP PI COMP MOD 3 or “Compute Module 3” is a DDR2-SODIMM-mechanically-compatible System on Module (SOM) and contains a processor, memory, eMMC Flash and supporting power circuitry. These modules are designed to allow designers to use the Raspberry Pi offerings (both hardware and software) in custom systems and form factors. The CM3 uses the same BCM2837 processor found in the Raspberry Pi 3 (a quad-core Cortex A53) and has 1 GB LPDDR2 RAM and 4 GB eMMC flash. This module is designed to be low-cost, low-power, and reliable, making it a great choice for portables and other “in-the-field” applications.
