Introducing the Palo Alto Networks PA-400

What is it?

What is more exciting than new hardware? New hardware that you can purchase optional software bundles for! The Palo Alto Networks Strata line is introducing the release of the new PA-400 series entry level next-generation firewalls. Available now.

Why should you care?

The platform will come in four different sizes to fit any security need. They are optimized for small and distributed branch offices and range from 64k up to 400k session counts with threat performance ranging from 500 Mbps to 2.1 Gbps. The PA-400 has a desktop form factor that has 10x higher performance and 5x faster boot times. It also boasts noiseless operation with a fanless design and a single power supply on the PA-410 and redundant power supplies on the PA-440, PA-450 and PA-460 models.

How does it work?

Watch our Arrow Insights feature below where our Technical Business Development Manager, Chris Turton, walks through the features of Palo Alto Networks Machine Learning Next Generation Firewall PA-400 Series and provides an unboxing and set up tutorial of the PA-440.

Competitively priced bundles enable easier, faster sales and provide comprehensive security options for customers:

  • Professional Bundle: Includes "complete security" and extends security across the network and web with threat prevention, wildfire, DNS security subscription, and advanced URL filtering with a choice of 1/3/5-year terms
  • Enterprise Bundle: Includes "all-in comprehensive security" and extends security across all points of attack, including threat prevention, wildfire, DNS security subscription, advanced URL filtering, and cloud-delivered security services (CDSS), including SD-WAN, SaaS-inline, and IoT security with a choice of 1/3/5-year terms

Differentiation in the market

The PA-400 Series offers ease of deployment and IOT security, including zero touch provisioning (ZTP) that enables simplified operations by shipping managed firewalls directly to branch locations and automating the initial configuration remotely. Your customers can simply enable IOT without needing additional infrastructure. It also identifies and classifies known and unknown devices, as well as machine learning for risk assessment and automated policy enforcement.
