The Photon Wi-Fi development kit is an easy to use, powerful, and cloud-connecting kit for creating connected projects and products for the Internet of Things. The Photon’s ecosystem has tools that are designed to let you build and create projects whether you’re an embedded engineer, Arduino Enthusiast, web developer, or IoT entrepreneur.

With the Photon, it is possible to write your own firmware in Electron’s web or local IE, deploy it over the air, and build your web and mobile apps with ParticleJS and our Mobile SDKs. The board uses a Cypress wi-fi chip along with a STM32 120Mhz ARM Cortex M3 microcontroller.
