Handheld PCs

Handheld PC has become a broad term that describes any computing device that can be easily held in a user's hand.  The smartphone is the most ubiquitous type of handheld PC, but the term can also be used to describe small tablets, personal data assistants, portable gaming devices and e-readers.  Handheld PCs lack the processing power of larger mobile devices or desktop PCs but are optimized for low energy use to enable them to run off of battery power for extended periods of time.
