Arrow ECS Adds Websense To GSA Schedule Program

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (Jan. 6, 2012) – Expanding its portfolio of IT products for solution providers supporting the public sector, Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. [NYSE: ARW], has expanded its General Services Administration Schedule 70 program to include the complete Websense® TRITONTM content security portfolio.

Arrow ECS’ GSA Schedule 70 program is among the top three percent of Schedule 70 contractors. The program provides solution providers that have been approved by the GSA for legal and regulatory compliance with solutions that are available at set prices through prenegotiated contracts.

“Arrow ECS is pleased to expand our relationship with Websense that began last year by adding Websense solutions to our GSA Schedule 70 program,” said Mike Nowlan, vice president of the North American security, virtualization and networking practices for Arrow ECS. “In addition to our Schedule 70 program, Arrow ECS assists solution providers supporting public-sector agencies through integrated marketing campaigns, business intelligence services and financing programs.”

“The public sector is a target for cybercriminals because public agencies hold the lion’s share of critical U.S. data. Skimping on IT security isn’t an option,” said Kurt Mills, vice president of worldwide channel sales for Websense. “Public agencies need robust IT security technology that can mitigate risks across web and email channels in real time, prevent data leakage, and safely allow social media use. Unlike other offerings, that’s exactly what the Websense TRITON solution brings to the table -- making it a good fit for solution providers who buy through Arrow ECS’ GSA Schedule 70 program.”

In addition to Websense, Arrow ECS’ GSA schedule program includes offerings from a dozen other leading hardware, software and storage suppliers including DataCore Software, EMC, Fortinet, HP, IBM, Lakeside Software, NetApp, Novell, ThinPrint and WYSE.
