Arrow ECS Extends Virtualization Portfolio With Addition of Astute Networks’ Flash-based VM Appliances

SAN FRANCISCO (August. 29, 2012) VMWORLD 2012 CONFERENCE – Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYSE:ARW), has added virtual machine performance acceleration appliances from Astute Networks to its portfolio of virtualization solutions in North America.

Through a North American distribution agreement, Arrow ECS will recruit solution providers for Astute Networks’ ViSX flash-based VM storage appliances that boost tier 1 application and virtual desktop infrastructure performance by up to 10 times and offer one of the industry’s best input/output operations per second, per dollar (IOPS/$), according to Astute Networks.
