Arrow Electronics, Freescale Semiconductor and Linear Technology Host Arrow Data Conversion Techniques Seminar

MELVILLE, N.Y.--(September 12, 2011)--Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW) is collaborating with Freescale Semiconductor (NYSE: FSL) and Linear Technology Corporation to present a no-charge, half-day seminar on data conversion techniques for ARM® Cortex™-M4-based Kinetis microcontroller (MCU) designs.

The seminar kicks off Sept. 22 and will focus on how solutions from Freescale and Linear Technology can simplify the data converter design process for embedded MCU designs. Attendees will learn how to evaluate the integrated data converters and other analog elements found in the ARM-based Kinetis MCU. In addition, attendees will learn to interface and test external precision data converters using the Linear Technology Playground Board. These distinct data converter capabilities will be demonstrated using the Freescale Tower System.

“Arrow developed this seminar with the leading embedded microcontroller and high-performance analog suppliers as a part of our ongoing commitment to provide customers with training, tools and support throughout the product development cycle,” said David West, vice president of supplier marketing and asset for Arrow Electronics.

With the Kinetis microcontroller and Linear Technology products, customers can design high-performance analog, both on-chip and off-chip. The easy-to-use plug-in analog module, designed by Linear Technology, expands the capabilities of the Freescale Tower System. It’s a complete solution with a high-precision analog peripheral module controllable by any Freescale Tower processor module via the SPI interface.

Registration is free, and attendees will receive a free Kinetis KwikStik development tool and qualify to win K50 Tower Systems and Analog Playground Boards. Seminars begin Sept. 22 and take place throughout the fall. Visit www.arrownac.com/adcts to find a convenient date and location, and to register online.
