Arrow ECS Offers HP BladeSystem Matrix Demonstrations

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (April 20, 2011) – Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. [NYSE: ARW], has expanded its solutions lab with several additional features, including enhanced virtual capabilities, self-service access and the latest technology products, including the HP BladeSystem Matrix.  This private cloud solution by HP is available to Arrow ECS resellers for virtual or on-site demonstrations.

With a heterogeneous approach to connecting resellers and their customers to a variety of technology across the data center, the Arrow ECS solutions lab enables resellers to conduct proof-of-concepts for customers by replicating their data center environment.

Demonstrations can be conducted on-site at the solutions lab in Atlanta or remotely through the Internet.  Logging into a secure website, resellers can operate technology available at the solutions lab as if they were physically there.  With secure, self-service access to the entire solutions lab environment, resellers can deliver demonstrations upon request from their customers at any point in the sales cycle.

Also, resellers can access the solutions lab online to complete self-paced product training through videos and recorded demonstrations.  Courses that are led by Arrow ECS solution architects are available as well. 

Among the technology available through the Arrow ECS solutions lab is the HP BladeSystem Matrix.  It is a converged infrastructure platform that integrates the HP Matrix Operating Environment lifecycle management software stack, Virtual Connect and Thermal Logic running on standard ProLiant and Integrity blade servers with HP Services.  This solution delivers a highly flexible foundation for shared services or private cloud operations.

• HP BladeSystem management (i.e., Onboard Administrator, Insight Control and Systems Insight Manager)
• Virtualization infrastructure (i.e., Virtual Connect and Virtual Connect Flex 10)
• Server virtualization and storage consolidation (i.e., VMware ESX, vSphere and VMotion)
• High-availability solutions (i.e., Remote Replication)
• HP TRIM (i.e., HP Software transparent records and document management technology)
