Arrow ECS in North America Expands Fusion℠ Training Portfolio with Courses for Riverbed, RES Software

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (Feb. 7, 2011) – Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. [NYSE: ARW], has expanded its North American training portfolio to include courses for Riverbed Technology WAN- (wide-area network) optimization solutions and RES Software.

“Education for resellers and their customers is a key component of our growing Fusion professional services portfolio,” said Lee Fawcett, vice president of the Arrow Fusion℠ professional services group. “We are increasing our certification course offerings to further enable resellers to address the needs of their customers and to penetrate new markets by expanding their expertise.”

As an Authorized Training Partner for both suppliers, Arrow ECS will deliver courses to resellers and their customers at its facilities throughout North America, online and at reseller-hosted locations. The new courses will be provided through the Arrow Fusion group.

The distributor's curriculum of Riverbed® courses offered will include the installation, configuration and management of Riverbed Steelhead® appliances, Steelhead Mobile and Cascade® product families.

"Riverbed qualified Arrow ECS as a training provider based on its record of success with other training courses and with selling Riverbed solutions," said Alex Hesterberg, vice president of professional services at Riverbed. "The fact that Arrow ECS was already an authorized training provider for VMware and Microsoft was a key consideration, as VMware and Microsoft are strategic technology alliance partners with Riverbed."

RES Software courses will include instructional offerings for RES Automation Manager and RES Workspace Manager product families.
