Arrow ECS Connects Resellers to IBM Cloud Services

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (Jul. 26, 2011) –To help IBM resellers increase their revenue by offering services, Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. [NYSE: ARW], has added five IBM cloud computing categories of solutions to its North American Fusion℠ professional services program. In addition, Arrow has launched migration and consolidation assessment services for IBM Power Systems.

“These solutions represent opportunities for resellers seeking to enhance their offerings to customers,” said Lee Fawcett, vice president of Arrow’s North American Fusion practice. “Resellers can recommend these cloud services with confidence given that they are developed, tested and supported by IBM. In addition, resellers now have an additional means of providing IBM Power Systems assessment services.”

The new cloud services categories available through Arrow ECS will help resellers plan for and implement managed backup, infrastructure, security, monitoring and storage solutions.

The Arrow ECS services for IBM Power Systems include assessments for the front-end of a legacy platform migration project, such as database, document and infrastructure analyses. In addition, it provides data- and application-migration support. The distributor provides assessment services for customers considering upgrades of existing IBM systems as well as replacement of non-IBM systems.
