Alternative Technology Signs Distributor Agreement with MacrovisionAgreement extends Alternative Technology’s product offerings to include industry- Englewood, CO., September 12, 2007 – Alternative Technology, a leading specialty distributor of thin-client/server-based computing, edge infrastructure, virtualization, and government-approved security solutions, today announced that it has signed a value-added distribution agreement with Macrovision Corporation (Nasdaq: MVSN), a leading provider of solutions that protect, enhance and distribute digital goods to consumers across multiple channels. Under the agreement, Alternative Technology will promote and distribute Macrovision’s AdminStudio® and Workflow Manager products to its network of 3,000 resellers in the United States and Canada. This includes the latest version of AdminStudio, version 8.5, which has been tested compatible and received Citrix Ready™ designation for Citrix Presentation Server™ 4.5, the de facto standard for delivering Windows applications at a lower cost. “This agreement represents a major enhancement to our Citrix Presentation Server offering in the area of application streaming,” said Tom Zorn, executive vice president, Alternative Technology. “Macrovision’s leading-edge offering, AdminStudio enables VARs to provide their customers with the tools to efficiently package, test and deliver applications across the enterprise using Citrix Presentation Server 4.5.” AdminStudio allows IT departments to quickly prepare reliable MSI and virtual packages for deployment to Windows operating systems, including Windows Vista®. By using AdminStudio 8.5 with Citrix Presentation Server 4.5, IT administrators can ease their workloads by automating the process of converting legacy applications to Citrix® profiles and cut costs associated with preparing applications for streaming in Citrix-driven network environments.
