Arrow Named One of Fortune's Most Admired Companies

For the sixth consecutive year, Fortune magazine has named Arrow to its annual ranking of America's Most Admired Companies. Specifically, Arrow ranked second on the Wholesalers: Electronics and Office Equipment category, moving up from its third place ranking on the 2005 list and placing ahead of all industry competitors.

“Being included again among America's Most Admired Companies by FORTUNE is a significant honor for all of us at Arrow Electronics,” said Bill Mitchell, president and chief executive officer, Arrow Electronics. “In 2005 Arrow's employees demonstrated their commitment to our strategic framework through significant achievement in operational excellence, growth and financial results. It requires a strong team to make the progress that we have made in the last year and this award is a testimony to their efforts,” stated Mitchell.

Fortune's annual list of America's Most Admired Companies is a report card on corporate reputation. Fortune identifies and honors companies that score high in innovation, people management, quality of products and services, financial soundness, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, and long-term investment value.

Fortune and its survey partner, Hay Group, asked a total of 10,000 executives, directors, and securities analysts to rate the companies in their industry on eight key attributes. A total of 611 companies in 70 industries were surveyed.
