Arrow Demonstrates Support for Public Television on Long Island
Arrow recently participated in a corporate matching grant in support of WLIW21 Public Television, demonstrating Arrow's commitment to educational programming in the local communities.
During the broadcast of WLIW's “Visions of New York City,” Arrow donated $10,000 while 25 Long Island-based Arrow employee volunteers answered studio phones as WLIW viewers called with membership pledges. Due to the efforts of Arrow employees, WLIW21 was able to raise more than $100,000, the highest pledge amount for a “Visions Of” documentary in years.
Brian McNally, NAC President, hosted the event and spoke with WLIW talent during breaks to help raise awareness about Arrow. He also presented the station with the check for $10,000 at the end of the program. “Arrow believes in giving back to the community where our employees and their families work and live,” said McNally. “We were pleased to sponsor WLIW and the premiere of ‘Visions of New York City.'”
