Arrow Employees Make Strides for Multiple Sclerosis

Team Chaikin raised more than $3,000 in pledges.

On May 7, Arrow Minneapolis employees participated in an annual eight-mile walk to raise money for the Minnesota chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society. Fifteen employees from Arrow Advantage, Arrow Electronic Components and Enterprise Storage Solutions, were able to raise more than $3,000 in pledges, including a $750 contribution from Arrow’s Employee Volunteer Team Grant program.

The volunteers adopted the name of “Team Chaikin” in honor of Product Marketing Manager David Chaikin, Arrow Advantage, who has struggled with MS for his entire 11-year career with Arrow. Two other Arrow employees from Minneapolis also are afflicted by MS. MS is a disease that affects the Central Nervous System, affecting approximately 2.5 million people worldwide.

Team captain Megan Winn, inside sales representative, Arrow Advantage, is already planning next year’s walk. “We’re glad we can support our Arrow coworkers who have MS and raise money to help in the fight against it,” said Winn.
