John C. Waddell

John C. Waddell retired as the chairman of the board of Arrow in May 1994 and since that time has served as the vice chairman. He, together with B. Duke Glenn, Jr. and Roger E. Green, acquired a controlling interest in Arrow Electronics in 1969. He served as director and executive vice president of the company throughout the 1970s and, in 1980, succeeded B. Duke Glenn, Jr. as chairman of the board and chief executive officer (CEO). He served as CEO until 1986 and as chairman until 1994.
