Philippe Combes is President, Arrow Europe, Middle East, Africa and South America (EMEASA), with responsibilities for Arrow’s components business in the regions of Europe and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Arrow in 2006, Combes held simultaneously the positions of Executive Vice President, Financial Services; Executive Vice President, Operations; and Director of the Board at Gemplus International. While at Gemplus, Combes was responsible for more than 35 manufacturing facilities worldwide, supply chain, purchasing and subcontracting, information systems, smart card R&D, corporate quality, and operational audit. He also effectively managed the company’s relationships with government authorities and the French unions.

Before joining Gemplus in 2003, Combes was Chairman and CEO of LG-Philips Displays in Hong Kong and CEO of Philips Electronics Display Components Business Group. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions with Thomson Multimedia and Schlumberger Industries.

Combes holds a degree in engineering from the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers. He is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
